In our topic lessons we have been learning about the Galapagos Islands. We have been looking at the physical geography of the islands. They have several volcanoes there and several are still active. In class today we created our own volcanic eruption. Below are some photos of what happened. Scroll down to the bottom ones to see them in the right order.

Last week in our English lessons we designed a new creature from the Islands. Below is a picture of the class animal we designed together.

There was no hot chocolate Friday this week but well done to Sonny for getting it the week before for his excellent explanation of how to tackle a maths question related to finding a percentage of something. Who will get it next week?

Welcome back to the Summer term. Please find attached in the Google Classroom any Parent letters for our new topic as well as our Knowledge Organisers.

Class 4 have had a good first week back and have worked very hard. In English they started reading their class book, Darwin's Dragon and then researching who Darwin was. By the end of the week the children had written a biography about this famous person.

On Friday we finished our last topic off (Crime and Punishment) with a special day. The children looked back at the crimes and punishments dating back from Roman times all the way to modern day. The day was full of discussions and debates, sorting information, quizzes and finally an investigation into a pretend burglary that had taken place at Wenhaston Primary. The children had to check finger prints, handwriting and foot prints to see if they could find the culprit. Below are some photos of the day.

A big well done to Seth for getting the Hot chocolate reward this week. He had worked hard during the week and showed great resilience when he found things a little tricky. A great first week back, well done.
