Chapter 13
The White Giraffe by Lauren St John
This week in Guided Reading, we have read chapter 13 of our class book. We have spent time reading it together, picking out key vocabulary, making sure we understand the vocabulary, answering questions where we need to retrieve words or phrases from the text and then finally we have completed some questions where we needed to add our own opinion and reflect on how we felt about the chapter from a readers point of view. The words we looked up the meaning for were:
·         Spoor
·         Simultaneously
·         Searing
·         Associate
·         Gravelly
·         Incandescent
·         Irritation

I am not expecting anymore Viking home learning, unless you have something you want to show me. I would like you to learn your lines for the school play and have a go at your times table activity pack I have made you. After Christmas our Maths heavily involves knowing your times tables. It will make your Maths lessons so much easier if you have that knowledge. In the pack are some fun games and activities to help you practice. I look forward to seeing the results after Christmas.
