The White Giraffe
Chapter
16
In this chapter Martine has escaped the cave/lovely land where
the giraffe was and had jumped into the back of the poachers van. Martine could
have been in danger, but fortunately she managed to hide from them. She even managed
to get a quick look at what the poachers looked like, although she could not
identify them fully! Later in the chapter, when she had arrived home, the
poachers had been caught and Alex (game reserve) apologised for his actions and
how he treated Martine. Despite his apology, Martine is still suspicious of him
and thinks he could be behind the poaching of the African animals. Martine now
trusts none, except her friend, Jemmy. (The White Giraffe.)
