Congratulations
Mrs and Mr Jenkins from us all! Tabitha Jasmine was born this morning and is a gorgeous baby, as beautiful as her name. Mrs Jenkins and Tabitha are both doing well.

Class 4 recorded themselves singing Happy Birth-day and cheering which was filmed and emailed straight to Mrs Jenkins who had been in contact with the staff early this morning. They then spent the afternoon making lovely cards for her which have been posted.

Beautiful baby congratulations cards for Mrs Jenkins

We are going to have a gentle week this week, with no homework or spellings to be given to Year 6 as it is a heavy week the following week with the statutory SATs tests. Year 5 homework and spellings will resume as normal I’m afraid.

The Sats papers next week are as follows:-
Monday May 13th          Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling
Tuesday May 14th          Reading Test (Comprehension)
Wednesday May 15th     Arithmetic Paper 1 before break, Reasoning (problem solving)                                              paper 2 after break
Thursday May 16th        Reasoning Paper 3

Mr Rollings is fully recovered and back in school today J After a morning of reminding ourselves about fractions and coordinating conjunctives with Year 6 and exciting archaeology with Year 5, Class 4 spent the afternoon investigating microbes in science.
Sats breakfast for Year 6 will be Monday –Thursday from 8am. Cereal, bacon rolls and toast, keeping our energy and spirits up!
