Monday 12th November-Friday 16th November

Look at our wonderful artwork we created to commemorate the end of World War 1 (100 years)
To see the work displayed, pop down to the Village Hall in Wenhaston to see it for yourself.

Camouflaged Sea Creatures
Our topic has moved away from rivers and we are now learning about oceans. This week, we were looking at the animals that live in the sea and how they camouflage themselves to either hunt prey or protect themselves from danger!

In Maths, this week, we have been learning about factors, multiples and prime numbers.

Well done to our Golden Book winners:

Well done to Red House for earning the most house points over the last two weeks!

Friday 16th November 2018

This week we have been learning some of the spellings off our Year 5/6 statutory list. Some have rules we have already learnt, others we can sound out using our phonic knowledge.
Spellings for this week we have been practicing are:
1.     Available
2.    Attached
3.    Average
4.    Community
5.    Committee

Reading
In class we have been reading our class topic book, ‘Shackleton’s Journey.’ We have learnt about the explorer and written about him in our English lessons. In our guided reading sessions, we have read and practiced our written comprehension skills by answering questions about the book, ‘The Tunnel,’ by Anthony Browne.
