Monday 24th April-Friday 28th April

Class 4 have worked incredibly hard this week. They have continued to build up our classroom into a dragon's den, wrote some great dragon stories, made origami dragons and learnt all about Saint George as we celebrated St George's day on 23rd April. Moving away from our dragon theme, we have continued to work hard in other areas of the curriculum and both Mrs Bowles and myself have been extremely pleased with the working attitude in Maths this week.

Wednesday 19th April-Friday 21st April

Welcome back to Summer Term.

This week I have sent a newsletter home about our new topic 'Dragons,' and some key dates coming up in the future.  Please come and ask if you require another paper copy.

Year 6 were also given a letter about their school trip to the Suffolk Ski Slopes on Friday 12th May. This is a special trip for them to celebrate the end of SATs.

Year 5 have been given a letter for the same day as they will be spending the day at Bungay High School.

It has been a messy and fun first few days back as we have kicked started our new topic, 'Dragons.' We have been working hard to transform our classroom into a dragon mythical world. Photos will be available next week when our giant dragon has dried and he is up on the wall. Please feel free to come and see for your self as well.

Below are some photos of us playing football in our P.E lessons and creating our dragon room. Miss Dekker and Mr Knight's were blown away in our other P.E lesson this week because we were able to throw the ball REALLY far whilst playing a form of rounders. (Throwing rounders.)

Monday 27th March-Friday 31st March

This week we made burgers to finish off our topic on America. We had great fun and enjoyed our day immensely. Thank you again to Bramfield Meats for donating some mince to us.

We have also created Easter cards, celebrated the Eggcellent Egg entries and made some mini egg rice crispy cakes. One of Wenhaston's traditions followed today with our visit to the heath to roll our decorated eggs. We had lots of fun preparing and rolling the eggs.

Well done for a fantastic week of hard work and another set of assessments completed.

Monday 20th March- Friday 24th March

Class 4 have been authors this week. They completed their final drafts of their stories and we made them into books. Thursday afternoon, we went to Class 1 to read our stories to reception class. Most of them really enjoyed them and gave us lots of lovely comments.

We were also artists this week as we did some printing. Our work has been put up outside our classroom for everyone to see. Our artwork this term has been inspired by American Pop Art artist, Andy Warhole.

On Thursday, some of us went to Bungay High School for an Easter Maths competition. Our team did really well (Coming joint 1st) in the competition. Their work is currently being displayed in the corridor on the Thinking Things Through board if you would like to see it.

Well done for another fabulous week and we wish all the mothers  a Happy Mother's Day for Sunday. Hopefully you like the messages we put in the Bungay and Beccles Journal and the cards we made in school.

We also enjoyed the weather this week, going outside for some of our Science lesson. We stood in a circle and joined feet. We were the wires and then the balls going round the circle were the current. We also had someone acting as our bulb. We then discussed what happens when a wire doesn't work.

Finally, we enjoyed getting out the apparatus in P.E this week. Our balancing has improved hugely!
